Reviews for The Way
België - Belgium
Apri 19, 2011 - Jean-Pierre Lhoir - Music in Belgium
“It will delight fans of the progressive seventies, of Genesis, Pink Floyd, but then Fish, Marillion, IQ, Carptree or Juipiter Society. If you're one of them, do not miss this album under any circumstances.”

Después del sorprendente The Way (2009
TCP (Temporal Chaos Project), a band with a deep progressive nature from the United States, have probably produced the best album of 2011. After the amazing The Way (2009), these “Yankee” brilliant
minds have delivered a masterpiece. Fantastic Dreamer is a treasure chest full of rich progressive, very
well-crafted music aged to perfection.

April 4, 2011 - Peter Hackett - Music Waves
Jun 3, 2011 - Mervin - Progressive Area
“Henry literally splashes the album with his talent, whether with his compositions, his lyrics or his voice.
TCP also has in its ranks two other talented composers, Blake Tobias (keyboards and bass) and Jack
Wright (guitar and drums). The band also knows to surround himself with excellent guests- proof: Glenn
ARPINO on keyboards, Tom SHIBEN on bass and vocals Nicole TARNECKY.”
August 2011 - Alex Scheyder - Highlands Magazine
Si THE WAY

May 10, 2011 - René Partucci - POWERMETAL.de

May 27, 2011 - André de Waal - Background Magazine
“...this album gets better playing session after session. It all culminates in the epic Vision which will bring TCP a huge step closer to the prog Champions League.”
Jun 6, 2001 - Markwin Meeuws - Progwereld
“Why Glenn Arpino is not a permanent member of the trio is beyond me. He plays on three tracks, but is
also the composer of the nearly 14-minute finale Vision, which incidentally is an exciting track that
deserves more than its length.

May 04, 2011 - Nuno Lourenço - Proggnosis
“TCP is one of the most promising progressive rock bands that I’ve listened [to] in a while and Fantastic
Dreamer ends up working as one of the best demonstrations of the wide scope that is progressive rock,
from its origins to the contemporary scene.
I know these are big statements, but the fact that remains is that I have been fascinated by this album and
what it has to offer to the point that it has been continuously playing for the past 2 weeks.”

May 03, 2011 - Steven Reid - Fireworks Magazine/Rocktopia/Sea of Tranquility
“Think what it would have been like if "Wish You Were Here" era Pink Floyd had decided that they wanted
to merge with Gabriel era Genesis to create a new, but familiar sound and then add a more contemporary
verve and a cutting edge production. You're getting there now, but there are still plenty of twists and turns
to make Fantastic Dreamer into what should genuinely be held up as a progressive rock classic - and I
don't say that lightly.”
May 08, 2011 - Geoff Feakes - Dutch Progressive Rock Pages
“Although it’s still early days, TCP have undoubtedly come-up with my favourite album of 2011 thus far.
They skilfully combine modern progressive rock sensibilities with the drama and (slightly eccentric)
grandeur of bands like Genesis and Gentle Giant...”

March 20, 2011 - Mark Johnson - Sea of Tranquility
“What every great band needs is an epic song that helps elevate them beyond the vast crowd of artists
out there struggling for attention. Vision is that song for TCP. I think this one will someday be celebrated
like the great prog epics of our time........This album is just incredible. Please don't miss the opportunity to
get in on the ground floor of this band.”
March 20, 2011 - Pete Pardo - Sea of Tranquility
“Fantastic Dreamer is easily an early candidate for Prog Album of 2011, so make sure to dig in deep to
what this exquisite banquet has to offer.”
March 23, 2011 - Tommy Hash - Ytesjam.com
“The new record is perfect melodic prog fodder for the NEARfest crowd and beyond, and one of the most
diverse neo minded releases to come about in a long time - boldly bolstering sonics that is just as strong
as anything that Pendragon has done.
Jun 2, 2011 - Raffaella Berry - Fire of Unknown Origin
“like many modern prog albums, Fantastic Dreamer is very much vocal-based, TCP achieves admirable
balance between the singing and the lush, varied instrumental sections.
July 13, 2011 - Ron Fuchs - Prognaut.com
“If you’re looking for an album that invokes the past and forges ahead, then get a copy of Fantastic
Dreamer today. For me it’s simply one of the best releases of 2011 and is without a doubt, highly
recommended.”

May 05, 2009 - Jean-Pierre Lhoir - Music in Belgium
“’The least we can say about this first album is that it will attract many. Fans of progressive? ...jump on
this album without hesitation!”

May 21, 2009 - Carlos Vaz - Progressive Rock & Metal
selected ALBUM OF THE MONTH (MAY 2009)
“they know how to create an astonishing, amazing and vibrant progressive rock music. Their music
sounds very impressive, full of grandiose passages, the instrumentation displays a deep Progressive
Rock feeling, combining Symphonic elements, with hints of Hard Rock and Prog Metal, constantly it’s
possible [to] hear a variety of sounds, with different musical arrangements, using atmospheric synths and
intense guitar solos...”
“... the main highlight of the band is the impressive vocal from Henry Tarnecky that sound like [a] main
instrument, defining the real course of the music...”

May 10, 2009 - Geschrieben von Thorsten Dieterle - FFM Rock
verschwendet.”
May 2009 - Muzik Zirkus Magazine - Stephan Schelle

TCP "Temporal Chaos" is a trio of American musicians, a bet that sounds musical and much like PHIDEAUX, ie groups like Gentle Giant, Genesis, ACT, Peter Gabriel and King Crimson adding to this
particular echo the voice of Henry Tarnecky, which reminds me much of David Bowie”

July 2009 - Flash Magazine - Max Salari
“...Ancora suono duro e cadenzato in “He’s Like You”, un piacevole intermezzo Dark. “I’m Me” ricorda la

May 27, 2009 - MAGE - Rock Reviews
“Together with a variety of guests, the trio have crafted themselves [a] unique sound exploring the depths
of art and progressive rock (bringing in mind early David Bowie, Genesis, King Crimson, and Phideaux
among others). The course of the album is largely set to meaningful lyrics and creative songwriting that
culminates in excellent hook lines..”

Progpulsion (April 2009)
"Excellent American surprise...TCP enchants the audience for various reasons: an excellent sound,
original compositions, superb flights, Mellotron..."
Jul 1, 2009 - Christophe Gigon - Progressia
“If The Light by Spock's Beard (1995) only vaguely predicted the incredible career which followed, The
Way, by its force and its coherence, embraces these incredible hopes.”

Jul 20, 2009 - Markwin Meeuws - Progwereld
“uittrekselpagina: “...zo opgeruimd en helder klinkt ook "The Way". De muziek van TCP heeft een
onbezorgd, haast zonnig karakter. Desondanks klinkt het nergens zoet, overdreven bombastisch of
kitscherig.
“The sound of ‘The Way’ is bright and organized. The music of TCP has a carefree, almost sunny vibe,
nevertheless, never too sweet, bombastic, or cliche! Besides obvious influences as Genesis, Spock's
Beard and Kansas, I definitely would add Kayak as an influence source.”
Sep 20, 2009 - Menno Von Brucken Fock - Boundaries Unlimited - (Dutch Progrock Pages)
“In conclusion I can only say this album combines the best characteristics of the legends in prog music
with astonishing original compositions and superb craftsmanship from all musicians involved. A really nice
offering and I would like to invite anyone to check this album out more than once!

Jun. 06, 2009 - Merlinprog
“...it is a sound where the new and old are greatly united, as this classic prog gets a good injection of
more modern musical ideas. Vocalist Henry Tarnecky has a really good voice that seems to be able to
adapt to the changing musical landscapes that seems totally effortless, and with enormous confidence.
Tarnecky have certain similarities with Peter Gabriel, and with such a breadth of voice that he can boast
of providing the space for the band to move nearly wherever they want.”

Apr. 16, 2009 - Pete Pardo - Sea of Tranquility
“This is thoroughly enjoyable stuff here, TCP paying homage to their heroes from the 70's yet creating a
CD that can be listened to and enjoyed for its modern sensibilities. Mellotron lovers dig in deep, as there's
plenty of sumptuous sounds to be heard here, alongside a plethora of other keyboard tapestries, stellar
guitar work, and tight grooves. The Way is, quite simply, way cool.”
Apr. 26, 2009 - ProgCat - Proggnosis Review
“All in all an Excellent Debut Album that should be checked out. These guys have a bright future!”
May 06, 2009 - Dean Pedley - Sea of Tranquility
“this really comes highly recommended with some clever and creative arrangements that make this a
hugely entertaining listen and TCP have made an excellent start to their recording career”.
May 06, 2009 - Jon Neudorf - Sea of Tranquility
“Their style pays homage to 70s greats like Genesis, but they are not copycats by any means. They
incorporate modern sounds in their old style approach that sounds absolutely fantastic to these ears.”
Jun 07, 2009 - Tommy Hash - Ytsejam
“...this band is incomparable to many other bands – inundated with jangly guitars, metaphors of six string
crunch, staccatos, odd time signatures, key changes, flourishing synths, ‘Trons, multi-faceted production,
and active tune variances, TCP proves to be an inventive band.”
Aug 03, 2009 - Michael Popke - Progression Magazine
“...primary Genesis comparisons come in the form of Henry Tarnecky's Peter Gabriel-inspired vocals,
Blake Tobias' dancing keys ...Shallow thinkers need not bother. "
Oct 17, 2009 - Ron Fuchs - Prognaut
“Vocally, Tarrnecky is one of the more unique in the genre, in which he reminds you of many singers yet
sounding nothing like them. The rest of the band provides an amazing musical canvas to back him up.
In my opinion they combine all of the best characteristics that encompasses the progressive rock genre.
The band stays clear of useless noodling which gives each song a welcome listen. This is one of the
better debuts of 2009...”
Dec 13, 2009 - Deathrabbit - The Prog Archives
“Just a warning, this is probably one of my favorite albums of 2009, so expect some bias. I guess if I had
to make a reductionist summary of the album, I would say that it sounds like someone took Yes, Genesis,
Fish, Dream Theater, and every darker piece from the Romantic period, threw them in a blender, added
some nutmeg, and hit ‘frappe’."
March 23, 2011 - Mark Johnson - Sea of Tranquility
“This is a dynamic and challenging debut album, both musically and lyrically. The deep lyrics and
profound subjects are unusual for a band's debut and that is what sets this band apart from the many
modern classic prog 'sound alikes'.
